I have two cats that I would like to take with me if my wife and I are ever moved to an overseas navy base. Are there any navy bases overseas that dont allow pets to be moved over? Are there any overseas military bases that dont allow pets?I know of no Navy bases overseas that do not allow cats or dogs but the host country can have restrictions and quarantines if necessary. You will have to pay for the cost of transporting the pet(s) there yourself, the military will not pay for that. Quarantine costs are only refunded up to $550 per family anything above that you have to pay out of pocket as wellAre there any overseas military bases that dont allow pets?
you can move pets at your own expense to wherever you would likeAre there any overseas military bases that dont allow pets?Moving pets is complicated and varies depending on destination. The long quarantine period means most leave them in the US. This site gives you info you will need if you wish to try anyway:

It's not up to the Navy. It's up to the regulations of the host nation. In some cases there are lengthy and expensive quarantine regulations you must comply with. In other cases it's not as hard. Everything depends on where you're going. Are there any overseas military bases that dont allow pets?depends on the housing office. some housing is indeed pet free. all costs associated with bring a pet is out of pocket.
the Navy will NOT Grant you housing based on whether or not you have pets overseas.. you will be offered the first available unit for your paygrade and BR entitlement. if that unit happens to be pet free.. oh well.
