we need a dog but my family cant decide on one. My dad wants a playful dog but my mom wants a hypoallergenic dog. I want a dog that wont is good with other pets because we have a cat. Poodles are very intelligent and easy to train, but can be a handful if not trained! Golden retrievers and labradors are very loving animals also.

"Hypoallergenic" is not non-allergenic.



"Playful" is a proper breeding and socialization thing, along with an individual dog thing.

There are no real "hypoallergic" breeds of dogs. Every dog will shed; some less than others.

My father was highly allergic to dogs..however was completely FINE with a bichon frise...in face we bred her. We kept one---they were both the best dogs ever :) (although quite yippy!)
