Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder?

It seems like most of the pets that I've had have some form of separation anxiety. I'll leave for a few days and they lose their minds and then once I get back they won't leave me alone for one second giving me all sorts of kisses. Is this common?Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder? While my dogs are always excited to see me, they do not 'lose their mind' when I leave. As a responsible dog owner, I made it a point to socialize my dogs and also encourage them to be independent. So, when I leave town and they stay with someone else or at a kennel, they relax and enjoy themselves. When I leave them alone for part of a day, they entertain themselves with their toys. It isn't hard to teach a dog that it's OK when you aren't there. People who have problems with 'separation anxiety' in a dog have taught the dog to be overly dependent, or have encouraged a natural tendency that they had.Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder?
I know my doggies do. I think most animals do especially if they have a strong bond with their owners,Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder?I've had many pets over the years and it just comes down to what species it is and how much they like you. I know my snakes, lizards, or hedgehog never really noticed or cared but the dog and most of the cats I have had really got upset.Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder?
Its probably because you are not describing seperation anxiety.

It is irresponsible to leave your animals unattended for days at a time, and it is natural for your pets to react when you do leave them alone, and to be showering you with attention when you come home.

Most people would not leave their pets alone like this so their pets would not display any of these 'seperation anxiety' behaviours.Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder?Yes pets like humans has separation anxiety. In short they don't want to be left alone for a long time. I suggest you before leaving to give them something that would distract their attention like a toy bone if you have a pet dog.
