Do most pets have separation anxiety disorder?

It seems like most of the pets that I've had have some form of separation anxiety. I'll leave for a few days and they lose their minds and then once I get back they won't leave me alone for one second giving me all sorts of kisses. It isn't hard to teach a dog that it's OK when you aren't there. Its probably because you are not describing seperation anxiety.

It is irresponsible to leave your animals unattended for days at a time, and it is natural for your pets to react when you do leave them alone, and to be showering you with attention when you come home.
