I read an interesting article in my school paper talking about bringing pets into the work place. One of the things people kept repeating was the level of stress was down, and people were more friendly. So what do you think. Should animals be allowed in the workplace, restaurants excluded, or should they stay at home? What do you think of pets in the work place? If they dont get in the way, distract to much, they are a great way to promote a good autosphere.
but because of people and allergys, pets arent often kept at work.
ex is a retail store: cat fur gets on stuff, and customers will be affected by this.
ex for the same store could be fish. but they arent that aweosme. What do you think of pets in the work place?
I don't think pets belong in the work place unless you work at a vet or a zoo or some place where animals are supposed to be. I thank they would be a distraction because I think of a dog maybe at an office it could bite someone or mess in the floor someone could be allergic or afraid of dogs I don't think it would be fair to force someone to work around a pet. I can't see the harm if the pets were fish in a tank or a gold fish in a bowl. What do you think of pets in the work place? You should totally bring a pet to your work place but, I would make sure that it is okay with everyone who works there. they might mark their territory,be noisy and disruptive or even jump up on people allergic to them. If you work in a store(not storage) keep him on a leash or close so he won't freak out customers.
I think that it would be cool to have a pet at work. What do you think of pets in the work place?
I think that animals in the office is a wonderful idea, there are many issues that need to be worked out at each individual office however. Ex: is anyone allergic to animals? afraid of animals? etc. and the pets would need to be housebroken. These issues aside I think its a wonderful idea! What do you think of pets in the work place?Home, as much as possible. Please keep your pets to you and your property. Thanks from the rest of us - we're not pet haters, we are just not "eat and sleep and jump on and lick me " lovers.
And yes, we have a rght to feel and live that way, just like you can make out and drink with your dog from the same glass. Disgusting! What do you think of pets in the work place?
keep all pets at homeWhat do you think of pets in the work place?
I think it depends on where you work. Obviously, food places are not a good idea and it's against the law. I worked at a restaurant for about a year, and this one old lady came in every Sunday with her little tiny dog and asked if she could bring the dog in and that it'd sit under the table and not bother anyone while she ate. We had to turn her down everytime, but she continues to come back each week. It's sad, I feel bad for her, but that's how it is.
Anyway, back on topic. If you work somewhere there is a lot of movement and people etc., like an office building or something, then it probably isn't the best idea. Number one, everyone may not like dogs. Number two, it can be stressful for your dog, all that craziness. Three, allergies and such.
I work now in an assisted living home. There are two house dogs that live here and one lady always brings her two small dogs to work with her. The old people LOVE the dogs. They play with them and talk to them and pet them and just love them to pieces. Dogs are thought to be very therapeutic animals, and I agree (as long as it's a friendly, social dog!). So in this case, I feel like it's a good idea.
There are people out there who own their own small shops. They go to work everyday, run the place by themselves (or maybe with the help of a family member, or maybe one or two employees) and they'll bring their dog to work with them. I feel like that is okay, too. No heavy traffic going in and out at all times, laid back, comfortable enviroment. The dogs isn't bothering anyone and no one should bother it (most of the time, they'll tend to lay on their dog bed behind the counter or in the back room and no one even notices they're there). The shop owner can be gone for long hours and there's no reason they should leave their dog home alone all that time if they don't have to.
So, like I said, it depends on the situation. Also, you have to know how your dog will act in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. You have to decide for yourself if it's a suitable place for a dog, if it's going to be okay with the other people there, and if you're allowed to even bring them at all. Unless you own the place, get permission before doing anything!
