What am i supposed to do flooring and pets?

sometimes pet makes a mess on the floor. carpets is nonsense to have with pets. i am ina town home rental. its nonsense to me to deal with carpeting. if there is one stain the entire floor needs to be replaced. any ideas on what to do about this. i don't even like carpeting and there are many stains on it.What am i supposed to do flooring and pets?If you're in a rental, you can't do much without consulting with your landlord.What am i supposed to do flooring and pets?In a rental, just rent a carpet cleaner every once in awhile.
