I've read in a book that in England(UK), people are used to put their pets to death when their pets are suffering from incurable disease like cancer either by giving medicine or other means with their own hands.
I personally don't believe so,but I do like to know how you would do with your pets when they are terminally ailing.
For your information, I'm a Japanese.Do english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer? They are taken to the vet and put to sleep so as it has no more suffering.Do english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer?
Yes, many people euthanise their pets in such cases. It's much kinder.Do english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer?well, da' pets are not exactly in da' position to commit, seppuku .
So we help them out, it's da' least we can do. It's considered honorable.Do english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer?
yes we do put them to sleep, not a easy decision, but often the right oneDo english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer?Yes, they are taken to the veterinary surgeon who gives injections which cause the animal to go gently into a deep sleep, their hearts stop and they die peacefully. We do not use our own hands. The decision is a hard one but we have to consider the animal and not our own feelings when we do this. If there is no quality of life left for the animal and no prospect of them getting back to good health, it is the correct decision.
Not 'with their own hands'!!! But yes, of course we have our vets end their suffering. But not before it is obvious they have absolutely no quality of life. We don't call it 'putting them to death' - but allowing them to be put to sleep, with the dignity they deserve.
I speak for myself and I am talking about Cancers.Do english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer?
If the pet is suffering, in pain, or their quality of life is very low, and there is no hope of recovery then it is better for the animal to have it put down. It鈥檚 always a very hard decision to make, and a pet owners worse nightmare.
It is always done by a qualified vet. The vet gives the animal an injection which causes the animal to go to sleep and for their heart to stop. It鈥檚 painless and quick.
No in England we don't put are pets to sleep with curable cancer by are own hands . Yes we do have them put to sleep by a vet. If a pets is suffering and has no quality of life and there is no cure then you have to make the difficult decision and have the pet put to sleep but it is done quick and painless by a vet.Do english put to death their beloved pets if they suffer from incurable disease like cancer?
Yes, they do, not because they WANT to put their pet down, but because it's the right thing to do, to put the animal out of it's misery, to end the suffering...but i haven't heard of people that put their dogs down with their own hands, but if you go to vets, then they do it for you...unfortunately it isn't free because those robbers down at the vets are heartless and couldn't careless if you'd just put your pet to sleep, they just want the check!! Sorry about rambling on =S...
Normally if a pet has an incurable disease or is too badly injured to recover, in Britain a vet would give them an injection to end their life. The owner wouldn't usually do it themselves as the vet's injection would be much easier on the animal.
