Office where I work is in an apartment building with no pets policy. I want to bring my dog in to work (she will be in a carrier in hallways and contained in the office). She will not be in the office overnight. Is that illegal? I was told I cannot do it, but I am thinking it's an equivalent of a visit. Thanks. Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building? Is your dog a service or therapy dog? Are you blind and you dog is a guide dog? If you answered No to both then you answered your own question NO. Unless it is a animal based business dogs need to stay at home. If there is some one who want to visit with you and dog let them come to your house, and if you are visiting somebody there, take dog to their house for visit. Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building?
Then you had better start listening to your boss, no means N O! If your boss said no you can't bring your dog to work no matter what. Also just think of what a confusing message you will be sending a future tenant. "It's okay for me to bring my dog to work for the day but you cna't have a dog period" NOT! You can't act like you are better than the prospective tenants. and you can and may get let go for being insuborninate and doing as you please even though after asking and being told no you did it anyway. Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building?Well do it this way (as long as its not a barker that would give you away) take it to work, show it off so she will be loved and welcome. And if you do get caught and told you know that's illegal, you know how they say you can always plead ignorance once, well there you go, you can say "Oh my goodness really, no dogs, I'm sorry I didn't know that" and just in case their is a sign posted say "Oh my goodness , really? I didn't think that applied if your pet was in a carrier" See you know you will get away with it the one time anyway and if your dog is smaller and really cute she will probably be welcome from then on anyway. Good Luck to both of you.Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building?
If the building says no pets, I wouldn't do it. You can't bring a dog to a store or a restaurant because they are "no pet" facilities. I don't think this would be any different. Also, some people are allergic so I'd take that into consideration too. If you really, really want to do it, talk to the building owner and see if it's at all permitted. Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building?"No Pets" usually means (surprise, I know) "No Pets". Unless it's a certified service animal, which it doesn't sound like she is.
Do you think "No Pets" is a euphemism for "Pets OK"?
You can try talking to your supervisor or the building manager, but don't expect anything.
If you've been told you can't do it, then you can't do it. If you are this eager for people in your office to see your dog, have them come outside of the building to see her.Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building?
It's not a matter of legality. It all depends on what your landlord says. I assume he would say no. The policy doesn't matter. It's up to him. You'd have to call the landlord and ask him.
No. I don't think so. The only way a dog could come into a no pets building is if it was a service dog.Can I bring dog for a visit only to no pets building?
What is the policy - are visiting pets allowed?
If not, then dont do it.
If your employer told you you cant do it then you cant do it. I wouldn't call it illegal but you could get fired.
What is it about the word NO that you do NOT understand.
