Question about world of warcraft hunter pets?

I'm new to WoW and i'm currently playing a bloodelf hunter



i was wondering is there any difference between rare/spawned pets to normal ones?

I mean like does rare/spawned pets have higher damage higher hit points

I got a Ghost saber pet which is a spawned pet but it doesnt really seem to have higher hp or attack

Is people just getting rare/spawned pets for its cool looks?Question about world of warcraft hunter pets?There is no difference between a rare/spawned pet and a normal pet. There once were some differences, back when the animal's original attack and movement speed were used (so people would get The Rake for extremely fast attacks, or Takk the Leaper for an uber chase pet), but all pet abilities were normalized many patches ago. Now, people only get rare/spawned pets for their appearances, as several of them actually have unique skins.



The only actual factor that differentiates your pet is its family (i.e. all Ferocity pets are statistically identical except for the special ability, such as Rake and Prowl for Cats, and Savage Rend for Raptors) and how you spend the pet talent points.

This might just be a myth though I'm not sure.



I think what matters more is what food they eat and what their abilities are. But I can tell you this, the first time I came up against a hunter with a Devilsaur from Un Goro Crater, I just about pee'd my pants. And I'm not talking about how huge they are and how much noise they make when they step. Those things hit HARD!Question about world of warcraft hunter pets?To be honest, it makes no difference on what pet you choose. as your pet will level with you, so if you are level 1, your pet will be level 1, and when you hit level 80, so will your pet.

So you can just pick the pet whcih you like the best :)

From what guild members tell me, there is not much difference. just the looks. There is one I have helped a few get the one from where u do the Netherwing dailys.
