Is it illegal to Buy pets and feed it to your snake?

I know its nature but there can be a way without killing the helpless pet's.

I've saw disturbing videos in YouTube that shows people feeding pets to the snake's. They are so cute but they are getting eating by snakes.I would feed a snake dry food instead of eating pets your have brought!.Is it illegal or not?

For one thing you CANT feed a snake dry food. They're not dogs. They're snakes. They need meat as in rats, mice, birds, or fish depending on which species you're feeding. To answer your question though, Most pet stores keep their pet stock and their feeder stock separate so animals intended as pets aren't sold as feeders. Others even go so far as to require you to sign a waiver when you buy the animal promising that you won't feed the pet to another animal. I think they actually made it a law in California where you have to sign a paper that says you'll kill it humanely before feeding it to a snake. I can't think on a "humane" way to kill a mouse though. No it is not illegal. I know it is sad, but snakes don't eat dry food. Some will eat frozen, but only if raised on it. Snake has to eat too.

Its not good to feed your snake dry food. But if you feed your snake mice,fish, or crickets it is completely legal.

Well I don't think there is a specific law about feeding rodents to snakes but it is definitely inhumane.
