How to install the Sims 2 Fun with pets collection?

i bought sims 2 fun with pets collection a couple of years ago and now i want to play it again and every time i go threw the process of installing this pops up "this product requires an installed copy of the sims 2,please install the sims 2 before installing this product." what does this mean? oh and i also installed the sims deluxe edition.....is the deluxe edition any help?how can i install sims 2 fun with pets without any problems....can somebody just please help me!How to install the Sims 2 Fun with pets collection?Which did you install first? You'll need to install the deluxe edition first (as that has the sims 2 base game %26amp; nightlife) then install the fun with pets collection. I don't have that so I don't know if you get several cds or if it automatically installs them in the correct order but it should go family fun pack- pets - mansion %26amp; garden.

Go to 'add or remove' programs and make sure no data/programs with 'the sims' in the title exists. If they do, delete them.

Then, go to your EA Games folder and delete it if it still exists.

Then go to start %26gt;%26gt; search, and search 'the sims 2' and delete anything that still remains.



Now, you need to install The Sims 2 Delux edition FIRST, then install Pets, then Family Fun Stuff.



It is VERY IMPORTANT that you do a clean install first, as I have specified :)How to install the Sims 2 Fun with pets collection?i don't know why it won't work for you, i agree with the other person, you need to have installed the sims 2 deluxe first, then the fun with pets. i started with the sims 2 deluxe and then added fun with pets on after it and i had no installation problems, if it keeps doing this, try uninstalling all of you sims games, restart your computer and reinstalling deluxe then fun with pets.
