How do I get rid of this urge to get more pets?

I always seem to want pets and idk why. I am only 13 so ya. But how do I get rid of it.

we already have

2 dogs

3 cats

1 rabbit

2 rats

1 bird ( my sisters pet)

5 fish

2 frogs (they live with the fish)

They are all token care of well =]

But ho do I get rid of this thing'

You have a need that is not being filled, and you need to figure out what that is and find ways to fill it. It could be lots of things, but you will know the answer if you think about it. Is it the need for something new in your life? Is it that the pets you have are not enough fun? Do you have a need to care for things? Then a volunteer job would be great for you.

My need for pets revolves around feeling unloved by people. The more unloved I feel, the more I fall for any puppy, kitty, turtle, whatever to try to make up for it. But it doesn't really work. Yes, my animals are an important part of my life and I'd be lost without them, but they can't replace relationships with people. So, I have to work on that, don't I? Sometimes the problem is that I am just not receiving love given to me, other times, I am ignored because people have problems they are struggling with and they think I am OK. Or maybe, I have shut people out but they still care about me, if I let them.

I'm the same way. It's just that you have a VERY strong love for animals and you shouldn't try to make that go away. If you want more animals thats good, you may just have to wait some years when you get your own place. If you have room, the money and you take good care of all of them THE MORE THE MARRIER! appreciate them more.

If you can, parent's permit and transpo, volunteer at your local

shelter or humane society. You can "have" all those pets a few

hours a week, socialise them for other folks, and learn a lot

Aww we have 6 rats ourselves, and love them to death! (They are -NOT- dirty, cleaner than most animals I believe)



As the second answer said, think about how little time you have for each. They all need exercise and individual attention. Are you able to spend more than an hour a day with each?



Also, think of worst case scenarios: They all become sick at the same time. Now that's alot of cash needed to pay vets bills. And unless you want to end up being in debt up to your ears and spending hours upon hours dispensing meds for each pet, I'd cut down.



And NEVER, EVER, let domesticated animals loose in the wild, they would end up dead quick.
