I bought a chihuahua puppie about 2 yrs ago from pets paradise in Australia, I payed a fortune for It, I all ready know I got ripped off, becouse I could have got it from a breeder for the same price, has anyone worked for this company before. I'm so worried my dogs a inbred. How long has puppy mills been going for. Seriously I've only known about puppy mills for the past year. Do puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?To be honest a lot of people who cant sell puppies take them to Pets Paradise so that they are off there hands. It doesn't mean they came from a puppy mill. Although some do
The drawback with purchasing a puppy though any pet store is the amount of people walking into the shop and touching the puppies.
Many germs can spread to the puppies.
Ive known people who have purchased puppies from them take them home only to find within a couple of weeks the puppy is infected with Parvo Virus.
To purchase any puppy worry free you should purchase a pedigree puppy from a reputable breeder and view there premises to make sure Puppys envoroment is clean and all doggies on the property healthy and happy.
A good reputable breeder would never sell a sick puppy but unfortunatly Pet shops would not know if somone has walked Parvo virus right into the puppies and the poor purchases end up with an expensive heartache.
Pet shops only guarantee there puppies for 7 days so if you puppy gets Parvo or any other desease symptoms will show after the 7 days Do puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?
Yes, pet store puppies only come from puppy mills and negligent breeders unfortunately :(
Puppy mills have been going on for decades. Lately theres been a lot of media coverage over them, though, so hopefully it will help fight them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puppy_millsDo puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?Most puppies from stores tell you that they come from breeders, but there is no way to catch them lying. Puppy mills are terrible things only used for profit and not the well being of the animals there.
Many of my friends have bought dogs from popular pet stores and have had problems with their puppies getting sick and having various health conditions that are common with puppy mill dogs.
Next time you purchace a dog I suggest buying it from a breeder who you can meet with personally. Do puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?
Please take good care of your inbred, 2 year old puppy. He deserves your love, despite the sociopaths that bred him. That's not his fault. Also, please find the time to volunteer at your local dog shelter. I guarantee, this process will open your heart and change your life for the better. Enjoy!Do puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?99% of pet stores get there dogs and cats from puppy mills.
Since your dog is 2 years old and evidently is healthy I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can take it to a Vet and ask for an evaluation of any health problems it might have.
In general Chihuahua's don't have many genetic problems. The only one I ever really encountered was some having a molera meaning an open the open spot on the top of the skull never closed which can be a very normal thing in the breed. Sometimes they have patella problems or hip dysplasia.
Puppy mills have been around as long as pet stores who sell puppies have been around.
Inbreeding shouldn't be your biggest concern; technically, all purebred dogs are inbred (some breeds more than others). What you SHOULD be worried about is possible genetic diseases that could show up down the road.
And NEVER buy a pet store puppy again.Do puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?
Usually most puppies from any pet shop come from puppymills. It's MOST of the time, but not always. Usually 95% of the time.
I used to think all puppy store puppies came from puppy mills, and a large majority probably do. But after I got a Shiba Inu dropped in my hands after the person who bought it couldn't take care of it I contacted the breeder. He turned out to be a backyard breeder, who only had 2 dogs and bred once a year. He also let me meet them-- they lived in the house. This still is not as good as adopting and adopting should always be a first choice.Do puppies from pets paradise come from puppy mills ?
Yeah most likely. Love your dog anyways as it is still the same dog you bought. Just don't buy from a pet store again.
Dont buy a puppy from a pet store. Normally they have been taken away from their mothers too early (they should be at least 10 weeks old before being separated), and have been raised in a poor environment. As a result they are often badly socialised and can have social and psychological problems. They are often cross bred puppies, and charged at the same price as a registered purebred puppy.
Always visit the owners in their home (registered or non-registered breeders) and check out the home environment and the parents. Have they been raised in a house around people or left out in a kennel? Are the mother and father friendly affectionate dogs? Temperament is genetic, so always check out the parents.
