a pet store (usually including fish or fish-supplies) may need help with any dept, tho it may not involve as much direct contact with pets as hoped.
a groomer may need help, sweeping fallen hair-clippings from dogs, cats -- and help with cleaning-up the place etc.
veterinarian-offices and pet-kennels need folks to walk the dogs to "do their duty" and to sweep-up after them. (this is as dignified a job as if it was for ones own kewl pet.) maybe these places would also have their helpers spend affectionate time with pets who are uncomfortable while their "people" are gone.
seeing if there is some capacity in which you can volunteer in an organization like, "Pets on Wheels", if there is one in your area. "Pets on Wheels" (at least in the MD, DC area) has taken well-socialized pets to shut-ins in nursing-homes, hospitals (and other institutions) to enrich these people's lives.
raising small animals at home, to present for-sale at "fund-raisers" (ie: synagogue, church, charity, etc)-- though it will take time, space, and (above all) devotion %26amp; study. examples are: aquarium-fish (the research can be fascinating); rare mice or Guinea pigs.
good luck.Any ideas of summer jobs involving pets?Try volunteering at a local animal shelter or vet office. They are always looking for extra hands around the place, especially in a shelter. Or maybe ask around in a few pet shops or dog grooming shops?
