Let's say if I had a permit to own one, would these make good pets because I hear that they do but I really want to know.Do ocelots make good pets and would one get along with my two other cats if I got it as a kitten?No- they do not make good pets. They are wild, and as much as you may want to, you cannot train that behavior out of them.
They would likely attack and try to kill other cats.Do ocelots make good pets and would one get along with my two other cats if I got it as a kitten?I would NOT get one unless you have a facility where you can make ample cages and feed it enough food.
As far as keeping it with other cats... REMEMBER this is a wild animal that would NORMALLY PREY ON CATS! (which are smaller and less able to defend themselves from a bigger cat)
Really I BELIEVE that this kind of animal should stay in the wild... and NEVER in a home ... WORST case in a sanctuary or a zoo.. all of which CAN and have the facilities to feed and house them! Do ocelots make good pets and would one get along with my two other cats if I got it as a kitten?Perhaps you mean Ocicat. Neither Ocicats or Ocelots are good with other pets.
good luck!
