Hi i'm looking for somewhere to rent in Leeds but we have two cats and want a dog aswell. We are finding it difficult to find places that allow pets. Any ideas on what we should do?Landlords who are good about you having pets?advetise or look into adsLandlords who are good about you having pets?I would narrow your search down by not enquiring about apartments. Often it is written into the owner's lease when they purchase an apartment that there are no pets allowed within the building. This is something a landlord would have to uphold, so there would be no chance of him allowing you to have a dog/cat as he is governed by this ruling. I, for one, rent a house out to someone who has a dog, so it's a case of trial and error when speaking to a landlord.
OK so now you've mentioned only a house - I'm sure any landlord will be approachable. If you don't ask, you don't get, so speak with the landlord of wherever you apply and the worst that can happen is you don't get the property. Someone, somewhere will be ok with you having a pet - especially if you are to be long term tenants. "Long term" is what every landlord is looking for - if you have a good tenant who pays the rent you are quite happy for them to stay forever, so there's no harm in asking. Good luck - pity I don't have somewhere suitable for you, I'd be happy to take you on.
