ps. I own the unit.My condo association does not allow pets. Is there a way that I could get them to allow small dogs?Though it's possible they'll say yes, it's highly unlikely. Some of your neighbors likely moved there because of the attractive no-pets rule, so if the association allows pets, what do you expect their reaction to be? They'll likely feel frauded.
Some folks buy property near an airport/expressway, then complain about the noise. My condo association does not allow pets. Is there a way that I could get them to allow small dogs?
I would think you would have to bring it up to the condo association during their next meeting.
Look in your association laws and see why they are banning dogs (and what kind). Then prepare your argument based on that. If it is a size limit, most likely it is due to noise. My condo association does not allow pets. Is there a way that I could get them to allow small dogs?I manage a Condos association and the only thing you can do it go to the board meeting and voice your concern that you know people there have cats and then make them vote to either inforce to rule of no pets or to allow small pets under a certain weight restriction. My condo association does not allow pets. That's a shame that you aren't allowed to have dogs and you own the unit! You could try to talk to the association and try to get them to allow at least small dogs, but don't try to sneak one. That will just end up a mess for you and the dog. It is very easy to have a cat without anyone knowing (people often do that in apartments where pets aren't allowed) but it is a LOT harder to have a dog without anyone knowing. Getting together with your neighbors and having a meeting with your homeowner's association is the best idea...good luck! :)My condo association does not allow pets. Is there a way that I could get them to allow small dogs?go to the board, and if you own the unit, then that property belongs to you, so i dont understand why they wont let you if its your property
