What brands of indoor bug spray are safe for pets?

I have a major earwig problem indoors and I need to spray the interior baseboards, even though the exterminator sprayed outdoors twice. I have indoor-outdoor cats, as well as chinchillas who share a cage that rests on the floor (about 6" from the baseboards). Can anyone recommend a widely available (like at Wal-Mart or Home Depot) indoor bugspray that will residually kill earwigs and not hurt my pets? I've not noticed any ill-effects, but it does state to let it dry before pets are allowed around the sprayed areas. I don't know about chinchillas. Actually, you can go to "petcare.com" and maybe they can help formulate a concoction of herbal products that might help. Keep in mind that your pet doesn't have a whole lot of say in the environment you subject it to.
