Have you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone?

What type of arrangements have you made for your pets in the event that they out live you?Have you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone?Yes. My horse will go live with my best friend. I have yet to put it in "formal" writing but my lawyer will deal with that in my will in a few months. In the meanwhile, all my family and friends (and barn manager, trainer, etc) are all aware of where the horse goes.

You can't take on the responsibilities of a pet without making arrangements for their care if you're unavailableHave you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone?
If they do outlive me, other family members will carry them on.Have you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone? That is a great question. My boyfriend said Rocco, our dog, would be mine if something happened to him already. We are in our 50's so that is why he thought about it I think. I would hope if something did happen to me he would take care of my cat, or my brother and his family would. But I don't know! It is definitely something for all of us to think about. I think people would have to state that in their wills?Have you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone?
No, I never thought about it before.Have you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone?Thats a very good question. I actually havent made any arrangements..Right now I have 2 cats, 3 rats , a hamster, a rabbit, and a parakeet. I'm hoping to outlive all my animals.. If something did happen I know my mother would care for the bird and the 2 cats..I dont know what I'd do with the rest though. I hate to say this but I dont think I'd trust any other member of my family to care for my animals. Except my niece. So I guess if something happened I'd want her to take my small animals. She's 16, and she loves animals as much as I do.Have you made arrangements for your pets after your are gone?
That has worried me to no end. I was troubled by it until I made arrangements. I not only asked a neighbor and friend to take care of my dog if something happens to me, but let him in on my dog's particular health problems - including a weak back knee, weak ankles, allergies and breathing problems. I made sure to write down the medications he occasionally needs and that although he appears healthy, is really quite fragile and should never be made to jump up onto or off furniture. His joints won't allow it. I also gave them a copy of his vaccination history.

I hope it never comes to that, but I need to know my dog will be cared for properly if something happens to me.
