How many pets can I take on a plane?

I have three pets. My Husband and I will be moving back to the US. I read that airlines only allow 2 pets per passenger....does that mean we can take all three with us since we are "two passengers"....or will they count us as a family?How many pets can I take on a plane?when you say "take them on a plane", do you mean that they are little kitties or dogs that will fit in the carrier that goes under the seat? If so, I believe the policy is two *per flight*, not per passenger....



If they are bigger and need to go in cargo hold, restriction is less, you should be able to take all three.
