Since I've been an adult, I've named all my pets after "adult" things like alcoholic beverages and drug references.
I've had:
Bud
Zima
Corona
Tecate
Mary Jane
Cannabis
Sativa
Damiana
Captain Morgan
and a few others
Does anyone else think this is weird?Has anyone else ever named their pets this way?yea i think that you might have a drug addiction or somethin lolHas anyone else ever named their pets this way?
I'm not so worried about the names...but the fact that you've had so many........
What's happening to the pets man????Has anyone else ever named their pets this way?I think it means you have a one track mind. Also, what you name your pet says a great deal about you. Would you really want to tell your boss that your dog's name is cannabis??Has anyone else ever named their pets this way?
That's now weird, it's cool.Has anyone else ever named their pets this way?We had a fraternity dog named "Hopps". So, quite honestly, I would say your approach is kind of fraternity-minded, if you get my drift.
Sounds like you have an addiction!Has anyone else ever named their pets this way?
my daughter named her cat Kinky, then left !!!!
so when Kinky would get out of the apartment,
i'd be yelling "Kinky"
Kinky get in here"
Kinky get down here"
Kinky"
Kinky"
less people knocked on my door
:(
No , it's not wierd, it's quite common. Many people name their pets after their favorite pasttime!
My in-laws dogs were I. W. Harper and Mick (short for Michelob Lite).
The only wierd thing is that you have so many, what kind of pets do you have?Has anyone else ever named their pets this way?
Our son's dog was named Tequila, and his cat was named Cat.
What you name your pets is your business. None of these are obscene enough to embarrass you if you had to call your dog in a public place.
BTW- My aunt and uncle named their black lab "Carlie" after a brand of Carling's Black Label Beer.
Nah, it's cool. My friends named their dog Dewars.
I don't think it is weird at all. If you like spirits, you should name your dogs after that. Still, I can't imagine yelling the name Cannabis when he shits on your carpet. My parents had a dog named Chivas Regal, we called him Chev for short.
one of my cat's is named Buddy, and I call him Bud for short. (I live in St. Louis and my client is Anheuser Busch.....). I even have a picture of him peeking out of a Bud Light box....
I had a friend who named her cats Bailey and Jamison. I liked the names so much I named my cat Bailey.
I had a dog named Molson. Wow, you sure do have a lot of pets. LOL
I have two dogs..Mickey and Guiness :) we love beer...lol
No, I don't think it's weird. I have neighbors who named their dog Cuervo.
haha a little but creative
I had a cousin who named a dog Indio because they were planning to move to Indio. My mother named our dog Campo because she used to live in the campo. And our brother named his dog Koa, because the mobile home park we live in used to be called Kampgrounds Of America. My other cousin named her dog Frisco, because her mom is a 49ers fan.
I had a freind who named his dog Wiser, and he always joked that this was his Bud- Wiser.
Not weird...Our dog's name is Boddington (an English beer).
I intend no insult towards your naming choices, but I emphatically don't agree with that practice. I have only named two of my pets after beverages, and that's an extremely long story. Two of my cats were named Mocha and Latte; Mocha is still alive and well, but Latte died two and a half years ago due to an illness. However, all of my other pets have had names just the way I would name children. They're my companions, members of my family as surely as my husband and children are. Even those with less intellect are; we don't consider members of our family any less members based on I. Q. scores, do we? Frivolous names demean their lives; that name is what I refer to them as for their entire lives. It is the verbal and visual symbol for their existence, and I think it deserves more than the name of a cheap beverage or drug that does so much less than my companions do. It's a sacred trust, to name another being, and I think you would do better to give your rats names that reflect all your hopes and wishes for them in their lives.
not at all weird
know some people that named their dogs Mich and Mich lite
the dogs were father and son
obviously short for
Michelob - Michelob Lite
they were purebred dogs and this was their registered names
