What other pets can a turtle live with?

I have a RES turtle about 3 inches long. I have him in a tank filled with water and some climbing rocks he can rest on. I wonder if I can put any other pets like fish or water hermit crabs in the same tank as him? ANY other pet would do .. Probably the best thing you could do is drop a couple of bucks on feeder guppies. They are like 15 for a dollar. Some are cross breeds from fan tail guppies and are rather pretty. Most turtles eat fish. The only thing really that goes with a turtle is a turtle. But if he's always been alone there is a chance of fighting. At least with the feeder guppies if he eats a few its no big deal. If you give them things to hide in and around they would be safer. I had the same set up with mine before he got to big for any tank and I built him a pond in my garden. I would go buy another dollars worth of guppies once every few months.
