Do people that humanize their pets amuse or scare you?

This is something that has always creeped me out.

I have never done this. I don't even talk 'baby' to my pets.

I speak in their tongue, I don't know what I'm saying, but they respond to it.

They do what I want them to do, so I'm doing something right.Do people that humanize their pets amuse or scare you?I think its amusing and creepy.



Its funny how they think the animal

Totally freaks me out. The little outfits, and they talk to them like they are children, and then go absolutely frigging' bonkers if something happens to them (god forbid it be death!). Pets are great things to have and great companions but they are animals that are replaceable. They get buried in the back yard in a paper sack or out to sea.....not in a urn on the mantel!

My BF won't even have a dog cause he thinks keeping pets is wrong unless they have a job. Like a farm dog or a service dog. I explain to him that no one in my household gets off scott free for anything; my past dogs have earned everything they get. No free treats, or privileges.

I would never have a cat unless I had a barn and it would live in the barn. (it would have a job to do)
