This question is for anyone who has pets?

I need something that I can spray on my furniture that will help prevent my pets from wanting to lay and get on it? Any suggestions? Is there anything I can do or any way to keep them from wanting to lay on the furniture? This question is for anyone who has pets?theres alot of products out there...here's one of them:

you spray it on the furniture and its supposed to keep them off

however I believe that training them to stay off just works better

it may take more time, however it will take less money and less aggravation if the product you buy doesn't deter them

first give your pet an alternative place to lay (maybe a pillow on the floor) and when ever your pet tries to jump on the furniture simply pick them up and place them on their bed then give them a treat or pet them so that they associate their pillow with toys and treats and attention (all positive things) however they associate your couch with a scolding

soon they won't go near the couch and they will love their own place!

here's an example of a furniture alternative for a dog:

Just Tell them no and to get off be consistent that is the cheapest wayThis question is for anyone who has pets? There are sprays that humans can't smell but pets hate. Ask your local petstore for this kind of spray.
I used something called Bitter Apple Spray when I first got my dog. They hate the smell and it keeps them from certain areas like furniture or from scratching %26amp; chewing on things like shoes and furniture, plus you can even spray a pinch on them if they're excessively scratching themselves. Also if they are object possessive you can spray it on whatever they are protecting to let go. It's always worked for me and eventually they understand to stop whatever they are doing based on what you spray. This question is for anyone who has pets?
Double-sided sticky tape has worked to keep my cat off the counter, but I haven't tried it with any other pet.
There's a spray you can get at the pet store. A friend of mine uses one made for dogs and it works. I can't remember what its called, sorry. Just call the pet store and ask I'm sure they can tell you:)This question is for anyone who has pets?
There are sprays such as Feliway (I think it's just specifically for cats), to help prevent them from getting on furniture. You can also get mats that you place on furniture when you are not home that emit a loud noise that will scare your pet away, I have heard these work for both dogs and cats. I've always allowed my pets on my furniture, so I haven't had experience with either of these products, sorry!
buy something called bitter apple at the pet store... completely safe and deters pets from areas you would rather not have them
I WISH I KNEW.........MY COUCH IS COVERED WITH DOG AND CAT HAIR THAT I HAVE TO RUB OFF EVERYDAY... SOMETIMES I JUST THROW A BLANKET OVER SO IT DOESN'T GET BAD BUT I SUPPOSE IT DOES NOT REALLY FIX THE PROBLEM!
you can get special spray stuff at pet stores. but i wouldn't know. my pets are out 24/7 and they never come in the house.
There is a spray you can get at PetSmart but I just put pillows on the furniture and they don't like jumping up onto them. I think they feel unsafe but it works.
